
About us:
The Long Island High Technology Incubator is a non-profit business incubator that supports early-stage, high-tech companies to enhance their opportunity for development and growth. LIHTI is affiliated with Stony Brook Universiity and the Medical Center. In its 16 years of operation, the incubator has housed over 70 companies, which have had a high survival rate upon graduating from the program.

Company structure:
The Long Island High Technology Incubator at Stony Brook is a 501(C)3 corporation, consisting of two member corporations: the Research Foundation of SUNY and the Stony Brook Foundation. Each member corporation appoints 4 members to the Board of Trustees, and 2 members are jointly appointed. Traditionally, the President of Stony Brook University sits as an officer of the corporation, either as the Chair or Vice Chair.
